Twitter is one of those things that I know I should be using more, but I continue to struggle when it comes to finding something relevant to say in 140 characters or less. So, since I’m an evil marketer at heart, I’m going to use it in the way that makes the most sense to me – pure unadulterated shilling.
Followers (of which there are not many) will be the first to hear about special deals and sales as they get loaded. Because we often only have one or two units of whatever we’re blowing out, this will give Twitter followers a little advantage to jumping on some very nice steals.
I went ahead and kicked it off by marking down our last Instroke 2×4 Dragon case to $220 (54% off). If you’re not following and you want to you can find us at http://www.twitter.com/pooldawg
Google+The US Open will be kicking off this morning at 10AM CST. There won’t be a live stream unfortunately, but I’ll be doing my best to provide final scores as they come in through our Twitter account. If you have a Twitter account, feel free to follow us. Otherwise, I’ll try and get a Twitter feed up on the blog.
First up for Sarah Rousey is Miyuki Sakai at 1:30PM CST.
Google+What are you doing in 140 characters or less. I’ve gotta say I’m not sure I’m sold on this new technology. Even so, I’m all for trying new things, so I went and signed up for a Twitter account.
Well, reallyI signed up for a Twitter account a few months ago, but never really did anything with it, but I’m ready to give this a try. I posted my first “tweet” (again, second tweet technically, but the first one from 4 months ago doesn’t really count) and I can say that I feel completely moronic saying that I just tweeted, but when in Rome I suppose.
At any rate, if you do the Twitter thing and you want to read about the mundane life of PoolDawg’s marketing guy, just click that bird above and follow away. Who knows, I might even decide to use it to announce price drops, discount codes and such.
