PoolDawg, the leading online retailer of pool cues, pool cue cases and billiard supplies, is pleased to announce that they will once again be working with the WPBA as a premier advertiser for the 2011 WPBA Classic Tour.
“We are once again thrilled to be working with the WPBA,” said Michael Feiman, PoolDawg’s President. “Over the past several years we have worked with the WPBA in various ways from a promotional perspective. The Classic Tour continues to be an important vehicle for us as it gives us the opportunity to put our brand in front of hundreds of thousands of pool and billiards fans. It also gives us the ability to align our brand with some of the world’s best pool players. Pros the likes of Jeanette Lee, Allison Fisher and Karen Corr have become household names for billiards enthusiasts everywhere and we are proud to have our name mentioned in conjunction with these world class athletes.”
Televised coverage of the 2011 WPBA Classic Tour is scheduled to kick off March 20th with the 2011 WPBA Masters in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and will feature perennial top ranked players Monica Webb, Kelly Fisher, Karen Corr and 2010 points champion Jasmin Ouschan.
Here’s the deal. We’re giving away one (1) $500 gift certificate that we’ll draw at random. The only way to get in on the drawing is to click the link below and fill out the form. We’ll announce the winner on the blog, on Facebook, pretty much everywhere we can.
The drawing is free, but we’ll probably mail you a catalog (unless you opt out) and give you the chance to receive (or not receive) our weekly-ish email newsletter.
Entries have to be in by midnight 11/15/10. One entry per household, please.
Well, after five years PoolDawg finally has itself a brand new commercial. We felt the old one had run its course, so we decided to put together something new and a little different. So for those of you who can’t wait until November 15th to see it (when it will officially air on ESPN for the Pacific Coast Classic). We actually shot a few different versions of this, so I’ll upload them sometime soon.
After much work, our new PoolDawg is up and running. We’re still working out some of the visual bugs (including a wierd IE6 browser issue), but the site is up and running.
In addition to the new look of the site, we also have a brand new search tool thanks to our friends over at SLI Systems.
They’re the technology behind the search for sites like Tupperware, Symantec, Jelly Belly and American Bridal, and now they’re powering the PoolDawg search. Pretty crazy, right? At any rate, give it a try and let us know what you think.
We have scheduled the new and improved PoolDawg website to launch today at approximately 2PM MST. Our friends over at Acumium have been hard at work getting everything ready for launch, so barring any last minute delays, there shouldn’t be any issues with the switch over. While we’re making the switch, there will be a few minutes of downtime, but in theory by this evening everyone will be able to play in PoolDawg’s new sandbox.
Once the site is up, please play around with it and let us know what you think. Most of the changes we’re making have been based on customer feedback, so we’re really excited to hear what you all think about our new site.
Stay tuned and be sure to check back later today.
