The latest from the world of technology based pool cues has arrived. The new Players Hydrogel cues not only feature the unique Hydrogel Contouring System in the grip but also a high performance HX Low Deflection Shaft. Please note that we only have a very limited number of these pool cues available.
For the first time ever, Players offers technology available in an affordable price range with HydroGel. With the lowest density of any material, Players has combined the HydroGel Contouring System (HCS) with the HX Low Deflection shaft, creating a cue with great accuracy and responsive qualities.
HCS reacts on ball impact, uniformly distributing shock and displacing energy, effectively eliminating vibration that interferes with your shot, providing a rock-solid feel and a superior touch. In addition, the contouring system allows the grip to conform to your hand for maximum control. The HX Low Deflection Shaft features a light-weight core that drastically reduces deflection when your cue hits the ball.
As I mentioned earlier, we have a very limited supply of these cues in stock. We have Hydrogels in Blue, Orange, Yellow and Green. Once they’re gone, we don’t expect to have any more in stock until April 2008.
The Sneaky Pete or Hustler cue is the oldest and most traditional design for a two piece cue. The original concept for the Sneaky Pete was to create a cue that would look like a standard bar cue when assembled. That way, if a pool hustler was using a high end cue, his opponents would see his cue and just assume it was a bar cue. An example of a sneaky pete cue is the Meucci 9701 pictured here.
Today, fewer people buy Sneaky Pete cues for the sole purpose of hustling unsuspecting pool players. Because of the traditional style and inherent beauty of the Sneaky Pete, it remains one of the most popular and best selling pool cue design styles on the market today.
