2008 PoolDawg Bestseller Series – Break Cues

On December 30, 2008, in Billiards Products, by Michael Feiman

Its one of the most frequently asked questions we get here at PoolDawg.  “What is the most popular pool cue, tip tool, case, etc?”  Over the next few weeks (or months depending on how often I get to blog), I’ll be going through our final 2008 sales stats to tell you our best sellers in each brand and category.  Keep in mind that these are not recommendations as in some cases the best cue will not always be the same as the best selling cue.

Starting off this series of posts I’m going with Break Cues.  We carry excellent break cues from companies like Predator, Mezz, Players and Lucasi to name a few, but one cue outsold them all: The Elite Heavy Break Cue.

The 27oz Heavy Break Cue by Elite

Its controversial, its polarizing and for the second year in a row, it is our best selling break cue by a wide margin.  As with most breakers now, it features a phenolic tip and ferrule but what really sets it apart from the rest is the weight.  We have yet to find a heavier break cue on the market and at 27oz, this one isn’t exactly street legal.  Love it or hate it, you can’t deny its popularity.

This sounds like some kind of illegal modding of cars… nitro charged for that boost… hmm i wonder how it feels to carry that break cue around.

    I don’t have a car hehe.

This Break Cue is great love it. My team uses it. I have some who break hard and then some who have an easy hit and still get a great break. Wish I could five a regular cue with this kind of wieght. I preferr a heavier Stick, currenly uses 21oz.
