One of the more frequent pool table cloth questions we get here at PoolDawg is asking about the difference between Simonis 760 and Simonis 860. Because the prices for these cloth types are the same, it is hard to tell the difference between the two. For more information, we went to the source.

Simonis 860 cloth is the company’s professional grade table cloth. 860 is 90% wool and 10% nylon and is used in pretty much every major professional billiards tournament worldwide.

Simonis 760 cloth is 70% wool and 30% nylon. As a result, it tends to be about 10% faster than 860. In addition, 760 is recommended for “high traffic” tables such as those in pool halls.

Simonis was kind enough to pass along an installation manual as well for anyone who wants to do their own cloth installation. For more information, check out our pool table cloth installation guide.
